ABOUT PIMBA
Founded in 1996, PIMBA began with seventeen founding member bands for the purpose of providing the philosophical and organizational structure for marching band field competitive events in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The goals of PIMBA include: to promote participation in marching band field events; to promote the art form of competitive marching band based on fundamental principles of music education; and, to promote cooperation and respect among all bands, directors, staffs, student members, parents, parent organizations, adjudicators and all others affiliated with the organization.

In its sixteenth season, PIMBA is a marching band circuit structured, administrated, implemented and monitored by its member Directors for the direct educational benefit of the students involved in its twenty member Bands.
